 | Start up guide for FLAGThis guide has been prepared to assist current and prospective Fisheries Local Action Groups (FLAGs) and those working with them in the essential elements of setting up and operating an area based partnership and developing and delivering a local development strategy. Priority Axis 4 represents a new departure for the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) in that it focuses on the sustainable development of fisheries areas. This area-based approach was introduced into the EFF Regulation for the first time in the period 2007-2013 and reflects the Commission's recognition that the complex and rapidly-changing forces affecting fisheries area sand communities cannot be dealt with by traditional policies and tools on their own.             |
